The Great Doodle
On this project our goal was to make many different kinds of doodles in a creative way. I think this piece went alright I liked certain doodles more than I did others. For instance I really think I did good on the bulging squares on the left, where on the two on the bottom don't look that great. If I were to do this project over again I would have tried to think of more creative doodles to do in certain sectors. The hardest part of this project was thinking of the different doodles to draw, and them to show them on paper once I had them in my head. From this piece I learned how to doodle constructively as well as draw different types of doodles.
Clay Projects
On this project we made to clay creations one was a mug or bowl. I made a mug. The next creation we made was of a creature or something of our choice. I made "Patrick" from the show "Spongebob Squarepants". They were both really fun to do and I enjoyed them both. I think I was pretty successful on both the mug and Patrick. I think that looked relatively normal as mugs and sea stars go. Everything was smooth sailing on these projects except for a few things. For one, the mug was a little lumpy and not perfectly shaped and Patrick kept falling apart. So bad in fact that when he was fired one of his legs got lost in the process. If I were to do these projects over I would have constructed Patrick better and shaped the mug more symmetrically. From this piece I learned how to deal with clay and how to properly mold something.
Color Wheel
This project was a color wheel project where the ultimate goal was to get every color in the visible color spectrum. I had a good time with this piece. There were times when I thought it was a little more boring than some other pieces we've done but overall it was good. I think this project was pretty successful, I got the general idea for what I had to do but at the same time I wish I had put a little more time into it to make it look better. Some things that didn't work was that I kept accidentally painting places I didn't want to like in other colors or on the white surrounding it. If I were to do this project over again I would have gone slower and took my time on it rather than just trying to get it done. The most difficult part was painting in the line because if you got some paint in a section you didn't was you would have to wait until it dried to fix it. From this project I learned how to get the right color by mixing paints I also learned how to properly maintain a paintbrush.
Two Point Perspective
In my opinion I thought this project was very fun. I had a good time with it and I liked drawing a city in 2-point. I think I did alright on this project overall. On this project I got the overall concept of the 2 point perspective down. Unfortunately though I the drawing part doesn't look that great. If I were to do this project over again I would put more details in and make the city more realistic. The most difficult part of this piece was I kept accidentally confusing the bottom lines with the top so I would have to erase to get it right. I learned from this piece how to draw buildings and larger things in a two point perspective format.
